Went to the Champion of Champion 2017 grasstrack racing at Swingfield a couple of weeks ago, racing great and the weather good too. Unfortunately the ground was a little dry and the the racing threw up too much dust for the racing to finish safely, so it was called off part way through the afternoon.
Went up to the Cairngorms this February to try and see some of the wonderful wildlife in it's winter plumage. I was lucky, manage to see everything I wanted and the weather wasn't too bad and there was even some snow left up on the mountains. Thanks to Neil for showing me around.
In the summer we spent a great 10 days in Italy, travelling by overnight train from England, great way to travel, lovely country to visit
Went to the European grasstrack championships a couple of weeks back, great weather, great racing and some nice images.
This spring manged to get out to the woods at the back of our village and photograph the blue bells. So many options hard to settle on a shot I liked, finally managed this one, as it was a little windy I went for a more artistic shot. I liked it so I've now used it as the banner for my website. Hope you enjoy it too.
Recently went to see the little owls again, and tried to get some flight shots, managed a couple, but still opportunities to get better ones.
Went to the World Canoe Slalom championships at the weekend at Lee Valley. The weather was lovely and the competition even better. With some UK succes as well. I'm starting to add photos from the event, but it will take some time to get them all on.
Great event, great venue and great hosting.
Went up to Lee Valley for the World Cup Slalom, the weather was difficult for taking pictures, but at least not as bad as had been forecasted. Either way good to see such a high level of competition and even better to see so many GB golds and other medals.
I've just heard that I have gained the EFIAP award, which is obtained by getting at least 250 acceptances in International Exhibitions with at least 50 different images in 20 different countries.
Went to Elmley Nature Reserve yesterday, weather really wet but lots of birds. Little Egrets all over the place, had a great time out seeing birds and getting soaked.
